AVEC
AVECs General Assembly takes place each year in September / October. One of AVECs member organisations hosts the event. AVECs General Assembly is one of the few events where people with interest in the European poultry industry can meet and exchange experiences with colleagues in a convivial atmosphere.
The next General Assembly takes place September in Slovenia. For further information please contact your national organisation.
IPC
Twice a year, IPC, the International Poultry Council founded in 2005, meets in different locations wordwide. For more information on the IPC see below. The next IPC meeting takes place in Santiago, Chile from September 30 to October 2nd 2010.
During the year other important events, such as the World Poultry (in London), the EuroTier (in Hanover every other year) and the SIAL (in Paris), take place. These events are all promoting and developing the poultry industry and at the same time underlining the strong position of the poultry sector as the second largest meat sector in the EU.
